Living Smart Glossies Awards
The Living Smart Awards, or more affectionately referred to as ‘The Glossies’, are regarded as the Sunshine Coast’s premier accolade recognising and celebrating sustainability achievements of Sunshine Coast residents, businesses and community groups in building design and construction, edible landscaping, sustainable transport and resource management.
Who Should Enter
We are looking for individuals, businesses and groups who are making a significant contribution to sustainable living and business on the Sunshine Coast. This includes home-owners, builders, designers, architects, community groups, landscapers and business owners. You can even nominate on behalf of someone else, so long as they agree to the nomination.
Award categories open for Nominations
There are seven Award categories open for nominations:
- The Golden Glossy—Excellence in Sustainable Design Award
- Resource Saver Award
- Edible Landscape Award
- Sustainable Transport Award
- Living Smart Solutions Award
- EnviroBusiness Award
- Greening the Arts Award (NEW)
- Hall of Fame Award (NEW) – Not open for Nomination

Living Smart Program
The Living Smart Program is comprised of Living Smart Homes, Living Smart Solutions and the Living Smart Awards or more affectionately known as ‘The Glossies’. The program engages the community and business sector to reduce environmental impacts and improve sustainability.
- Living Smart Homes has more than 500 households (and growing) that participate in an online program to reduce their energy, water, waste and transport. The program is currently undergoing an extensive review and extension to include biodiversity, food and wellbeing modules.
- Living Smart Solutions is a one-stop website of local environmentally friendly products and services.
